NeedleOff 2 offers a cost-effective solution to safely remove and store used dental needles, without changing or slowing down your workflow.
Protect your practice or hospital from the repercussions of needlestick incidents, implement NeedleOff 2 as a secondary employment benefit and token of appreciation for your team, or showcase your active contribution to medical waste reduction and sustainability to patients and staff. NeedleOff 2 upgrades your practice.
Increased safety for all
With single handed operation, NeedleOff 2 enables fast and safe automated removal and immediate storage of used needles, reducing needlestick risks.
Compatible with common syringes
With double gripping power, NeedleOff 2 offers reliable built-in compatibility with most threaded, Luer-Lock, Luer-Slip and NeedleCover Syringes.
Designed for prolonged operation
As only bare needles are now stored, a single NeedleOff 2 Sharptainer offers the capacity to support your safety for hundreds of procedures.
Convenient disposal & maintenance
Full Sharptainers are permanently sealed for disposal and are prepared for medical waste tracking. Consumables are easily cleaned or replaced.
No risk of overfill
The NeedleOff 2 interface provides clear user instructions, shows the remaining Sharptainer capacity and features electronic overfill protection.
Reduce medical waste and emissions
The plastic caps and other waste no longer enter the Sharptainer, reducing medical waste volumes up to 90% - which significantly reduces incineration emissions.
With NeedleCover, a used needle is securely covered after every injection while it allows adding anesthetic as needed. After the final injection, the NeedleCover Syringe is entirely safe for transfer to NeedleOff 2, which can now be positioned in a central location. NeedleCover enables integrated needle safety for every practice or hospital.
Delegate & share NeedleOff 2 between rooms
NeedleCover enables safely storing and transferring a used Syringe. This allows postponing and delegating the needle removal procedure, using a NeedleOff 2 in a central location.
Closing the loop in safety and convenience
After locking NeedleCover in the closed position after the final injection, the contaminated needle will not be exposed again until it is safely stored in the Sharptainer.
Available for trusted syringe models
NeedleCover requires a NeedleCover Syringe with Sleeve Guides. We aim to offer and support multiple popular syringe types, enabling you to keep using your favorite model while demonstrating your commitment to people and planet.
Smart consumable design for convenient use
NeedleCover’s transparent Sleeve enables the practitioner to monitor the volume of anesthetic applied and allows reopening to add additional anesthetic as needed.
Meeting your daily practical requirements
The NeedleCover Syringe is based on one of the most popular dental syringe types. Both Syringe and Sleeve are compatible with thermal disinfector cleaning cycles.
Reuse, separate plastic & reduce medical waste
The reusable NeedleCover Sleeve prevents the disposal of entire safety syringes after every procedure, significantly further reducing medical waste volumes.
The sustainability impact of NeedleOff 2 and NeedleCover is twofold.
Because only the bare contaminated needle is stored with NeedleOff 2, it takes a lot longer for the Sharptainer to fill up to capacity – which significantly reduces medical waste volumes and subsequent incineration emissions. Defeating the purpose of recapping, you can now dispose of the plastic needle caps as separate, recyclable waste.
Adding NeedleCover to create an integrated needle safety system further increases the positive sustainability impact. The reusable Sleeve has to be replaced periodically, but makes a huge difference compared to alternative disposable safety needles and syringes – which are discarded as medical waste after every procedure. After completing a thermal disinfector cleaning cycle, a spent Sleeve can be discarded as generic, recyclable plastic waste.
